Privatbank has discovered a new scam on the Instagram social network, the bank's press service writes. An advertisement appears on the Instagram feed, which indicates that any citizen of Ukraine can receive 3,800 hryvnias. When the user clicks on the link, he is offered to register and receive money by selling part of his Internet traffic.
In addition, fake accounts write in the comments under the publications that they have allegedly already credited money to the Privatbank card.
When registering, the user is asked to enter personal data and information about accounts in Privatbank.
Privatbank urged people to be careful, not to follow dubious links, not to register on unknown sites and not to transfer their personal data to scammers.
“We urge users to be careful not to fall for the hook of scammers. There is not a single legal reason that would provide for the receipt of 3,800 hryvnias by each citizen of Ukraine. Therefore, the bank urges not to trust such advertising, not to follow dubious links and, of course, not to disclose personal information and bank card data,” Privatbank said.
